Notice how emissions from motor vehicles are named as a threat to the rare heathland ecosystem of the Ashdown Forest.

Before I get onto the total bullshit "vehicle emissions" lets just consider the rare heathland ecosystem which is at threat.The Ashdown Forest used to be a forest-you know with lots of trees-naturally it has never been heathland.A lot of what you see today is the result of industrial activity in the 16th/17th Century when the trees were used to make charcoal which in turn was used for Iron production.

The majority of the tree cover was destroyed during this period to produce what could be described as a post industrial wasteland.

 

Over the last 30 years or so there has been an active campaign by the owners (East Sussex County Council) to convince people that the Ashdown Forest is not actually a Forest but heathland.Rather than restore the Forest back to its original glory the Council and the Conservators have decided that trees (an essential part of a forest) are not needed and need to be grubbed out enabling them to restore the Forest back to how it was at the end of the industrial revolution-soil erosion and all.

What was once luscious forest is now a semi lunar landscape peppered with gorse .

 

Those nominally  in charge of the Forest are now saying that this "unique habitat" which is actually not that unique is being damaged by emissions of nitrogen oxide from vehicles.Firstly nitrogen oxides covers a multitude forms of reactive nitrogen which is the main component of the air we breathe.Cars do emit nitogen oxides but they are not the main source and given that the forest doesnt have huge numbers of vehicles crossing it at any one time its unlikely that they are the main source of this supposed harmful nitrogen oxides.The main source of Nitrogen Oxides in the air is actually the atmosphere where the breakdown of Nitrogen causes Nitrogen Oxides to form quite naturally.This process is accelerated during electrical storms when huge amounts of nitrogen oxides are produced by lightning when N2  (nitrogen gas) atoms are ripped apart and form Nitrogen Oxides.

 

So in short even if the Ashdown Forest is under threat its because the ecosystem we have is not the natural ecosystem (trees are not so sensitive of Nitrogen Oxide levels) .Left to its own devices nature would re establish forest not heathland and only constant management by the conservators enables the heathland to take hold but it doesnt mean it will prosper.

Turning the Ashdown Forest into The Ashdown Heath has been an unmitigated disaster but the people responsible for that disaster will not admit it-they will just seek scapegoats and the biggest scapegoat of them all is the private car which the eco fascists and their agenda 21 "bible" declared war on a long time ago.

I forgot to mention another source of Nitrogen Oxides which seems to have been overlooked and that source is biomass burning beloved by the greenies.

I have been reviewing the traffic for the last year and have noticed how the visits from Wealden and East Sussex County Council have reduced to a trickle since July.

I have it on good authority that all the useless twats (thats about 95%) in local government are shitting themselves that they will be culled in the next round of so called cuts in public spending.

Like little bunnies hiding underground they like to keep a low profile in the vain hope that if they keep quiet they will not attract any attention of the unpleasant kind.The only problem is that they have to come to the surface at some time and when they do BLAAM!!! farmer pickles and his cuts compensated shotgun will speak.

The alternative is to stay out of sight and starve to death ,either way its a result for the taxpayers.

Weather today.

Just as things were starting to improve its snowing again.

Substantial falls( 2 inches +) expected today (Wednesday 13th) and the minor roads/pavements are as bad as ever.

No Brighton and Hove buses are running through Crowborough and my contact who lives just off the main road has not seen any Arriva buses running(they havnt seen any gritters either).

Rumours are abound that East Sussex County Cretins are nearly out of salt and to cheer you all up even more the gas industry are making noises about gas shortages.Dont worry though the government have taken charge and we can sleep happy in our bed knowing they will make a bad situation even worse.

Weather forecast.

Just as predicted its snowing heavily in Crowborough with forecasted heavy falls predicted tonight.

Do we think East Sussex County Cretins will manage to keep the roads clear this time or do we think that they have nearly run out of salt.Like so many county cretins they have swallowed the great global warming scam and decided that we dont need salt because winters will be warmer.With perfect timing mother nature has demonstrated the lunacy of this policy and we will all be snowed in for days to come.I hope all the twats in the council that have been harping on about climate change have decided that they dont need heating in their house and as a consequence freeze to death.What am I saying-no one would be that stupid would they?

Snow joke.

Crowborough had about 8 inches of snow Thurs night Friday morning.Nearly 48hrs later and some of the towns roads STILL havnt been gritted.
Why is it that East Sussex County Council have all these useless partnerships yet cant master the simple fact that Crowborough is prone to bad weather due to its elevation and if snow is to fall it will fall more here.The powers that be are too busy cosying up with all these "partners" that basic services like keeping the roads clear are just ignored.No one has been able to get up the hill outside my house now for 2 days and the whole Montargis estate is a disaster area with abandoned cars everywhere and a road surface like glass.What are these idiots in charge actually doing.East Sussex doesnt have any Motorways so resources should be concentrated on the areas where most snow fell, is that too complicated for these useful idiots.Every year we have this same farce where roads are left impassable for days due to snow.People cant get to work and earn the money to pay for the council services which are not being provided.Personally I dont care that ESCC is a LGB (lets get buggered) employer or they are pikey friendly all I want is for them to provide the services that I have already paid for.I have spent quite a lot of time in Canada and 8 inches would only be considered a light dusting.Why is it that other countries can keep the roads open in all weather but we cant.Its probably got something to do with the fact that ESCC employ people on the basis of their skin colour or sexual preferences but do not consider basic competence to be an essential part of the job.As a result we have a council that has a diverse workforce but is uniformly incompetent.
The cunts at the council are still going on about global warming shite even though everyone knows its all bollocks of the highest degree.Why dont they look out of their window and see the snow and ice.Global warming my arse.

Update-3 days and still no sign of gritters and all the paths are still lethal.
When are the council going to get off their collective fat arses and do something.
