Town Mayor and the Council have had no lawful authority since May.

Here we have a picture of the Town Mayor who has held the position since May having been duly appointed by the members of the council according to the relevant legislation.
Wrong !!! this man has not been Mayor of the town since May because he was not appointed according to the relevant legislation.

The problem is (and its a big problem) is that Mr Cooke is not an elected member-he is a co opted member and according to the legislation LGA 1972 c70 s.15 being a non elected member legally barrs you from holding the position of mayor/deputy mayor given that those posts mean you are actually chairman/deputy chairman of the council.

Oh dear Mr Cooke you have misrepresented yourself as Mayor and continue to do so-your only option is to resign with immediate effect before the word gets out that you are acting and have acted beyond your lawful authority for the last 6 months.This also means that any decisions made by the council for that period under Cookes unlawful chairmanship are also void.

Crowborough-Springfield without the sun or humour.

My account with Crowborough people has been disabled although I have not been informed the reason why nor how long the suspension will be for.

I was trying to think who would have taken offence at anything that I may have written recently.

Wealden Police were top of my list until I realised that one of my posts had disappeared prior to my account being disabled.

The post in question compared people in the Town who think they own the place with Simpson characters.

The three people I used were people who I thought looked like a particular Simpson character see for yourself.

I thought it was just a fun comparison but  some people have an ego the size of a house and the sense of humour of a common purpose graduate .Clearly a sense of humour is not a requisite for unelected unrepresentative "leaders" in the post democratic era.Lighten up and listen up guys-you are not leaders ,the residents are the leaders.Our elected representatives are just that representatives of us the residents.Given that none of you are or have been elected by the residents you are nothing and have no more influence or power than any other resident.If you want to run the town get elected if not stfu and give us all a rest from your socialist ego driven power trip.

Jingle Jangle Jewellery.

Couldnt resist this one especially as Sussex Police had all the evidence to charge JS a couple of years ago but declined to because he was too old. Shame on Sussex Police,shame on the BBC,shame on the Rantzen woman and shame on all the masons who conspired to keep Jingle Jangles pervy actions a secret.Now I know why he always wore those trainer bottoms.

Local paper shows partisan support for undemocratic organisations.

 

 

 

Martin Ellis spokesperson of the undemocratic shadowy self interest group crowborough partnership is looking a bit down in the mouth on the local papers website today.Looking like he found a penny but lost a pound the article tells how Ellis was tasked to get the local businesses to agree that pedestrianisation (actually closing the High Street off completely) was the best thing since sliced bread.The plan was clearly put forward to counter the result from the residents who when asked the same question came up with a resounding NO to the plan.

Since the public NO cp and its associate organisation the chamber of commerce (which Ellis is also a "leader") thought they had enough support from businesses to get a yes from them so they could go ahead regardless of the residents  and their wishes.Unfortunately for Ellis even businesses said no to the scheme so it is well and truly sunk.

 

So despite the best efforts of the not so great and not so good of the town the residents and businesses of Crowborough have delivered their verdict and its a big fat NO.

 

 

Although we can all congratulate ourselves in seeing off this utterly stupid scheme we must be vigilant because I am sure this is not the end to it.In the meantime though well done to everyone who had their say-one up for local democracy and one in the eye of those that seek to subvert it.

Read the comments and it becomes clear why the local paper is not interesting in doing an expose of the undemocratic Crowborough Partnership-they seem to have taken the role of PR for them.
